Ryan Yardley and Kaleb Ngatoa concluded their Formula Regional Americas weekend at Circuit of the Americas with some sound results.
After finishing on the podium in race one on Friday, Yardley’s second race on Saturday was undone due to contact at turn two.
The Kiwi Motorsport team whistled their driver back to the pitlane and fitted a new front wing to his car.
Yardley spent the rest of the race circulating around and finished a lap down in 11th.
Ngatoa, meanwhile, had a sublime second-ever Formula Regionals race to finish P4 after starting P9.
Yardley was made to start from the pitlane for the final race due to not following a proper pre-race procedure.
“My mistake,” Yardley admitted.
Still, Yardley came through the field to finish P5, a result he said was the “maximum” he could achieve “considering where we started.”
Ngatoa started fifth for the weekend’s finale and crossed the line in eighth.
It means the rookie ended his first weekend racing in the United States with results of P6, P4 and P8.
