Cam Waters has qualified on pole for this afternoon’s Race 20 of the Supercars season, leading the two Shell V-Power cars after the Top 10 Shootout.
Yesterdays race winner Shane Van Gisbergen will start in fourth alongside Will Davison, who took a one place grid penalty for impeding James Courtney in the earlier timed qualifying session. This promotes Anton de Pasquale to the front row alongside Waters.
The Shell V-Power duo of Davison and de Pasquale topped the time qualifying session, with Van Gisbergen only managing to get through in fifth, setting his time after the chequered flag was shown.
Cam Waters, Brodie Kostecki, Jack Le Brocq, Thomas Randle, James Courtney, Chaz Mostert and Scott Pye were the other qualifiers for the shootout.
Andre Heimgartner will start the race in 12th after failing to qualify for the Top 10 Shootout. The other kiwi in the field, Chris Pither, improved on yesterdays qualifying and will start 21st.
