Race 17 Qualifying
Cam Waters will start on pole for this afternoon’s Race 17 alongside the Mustang of David Reynolds, who will be hoping to make up for yesterdays DNF with a solid Sunday.
Shane van Gisbergen will start alongside Will Davison, qualifying fourth, with yesterdays Race winner Anton De Pasquale starting behind in fifth.
Fellow New Zealand driver Andre Heimgartner qualified sixth, with Chris Pither starting near the back of the field in 24th.
The wildcard entry of Zak Best will start at the rear of the field for both of todays races, after suffering damage from a hit on the wall during the first session.
Race 18 Qualifying
Race 18 sees Davison starting from pole once again, after setting the track record at Hidden Valley Raceway, with a 1.04.811 eclipsing his pole sitting time from yesterday by more than a tenth of a second. Teammate De Pasquale qualified second, replicating yesterdays Race 16 front row.
Van Gisbergen will start fifth, with Heimgartner in 10th and Pither 21st.
Mark Winterbottom suffered a difficult session, going wide late in the session and nearly beaching himself in a wet outfield before eventually freeing the car.
Race 17 starts at 2.25pm, ahead of Race 18 at 5.55pm.
