Trackhouse Racing has announced that Shane van Gisbergen will compete in the season-opening ARCA Menards Series race at Daytona International Speedway on February 17.
The three-time Supercars champion will also compete in the Xfinity Series at the same venue that weekend, with the race later that afternoon.
Van Gisbergen will drive a Pinnacle Racing Group entry in the ARCA event. He is also tentatively booked to run in the ARCA test at Daytona on January 12-13.
The ARCA Menards Series is a feeder competition for the three-tier NASCAR system, which was purchased by the series in 2018 and boasts a range of competitors, including professionals and hobby drivers.
Van Gisbergen’s entry in the season-opening event adds to a busy 2024 for the Kiwi, whose full-time Xfinity Series campaign begins on the same weekend.
He is also confirmed for seven NASCAR Cup races, beginning with the March 24th event at Circuit of the Americas, where he will run double duties.
Van Gisbergen’s Cup Series oval debut will take place at the famed Talladega Superspeedway on April 21.
His 2024 schedule sees him competing in over 40 races, now across three series.
Velocity News’s Creme Insurance Motorsport Diary will continue in 2024 and provide information as to who is in action and how you can follow.
