Shane van Gisbergen has once again qualified fastest for the Top 10 Shootout on the Gold Coast this afternoon. With only 10 of the 25 drivers progressing through to the event, van Gisbergen was the only Kiwi to qualify.
His 1min 10.2639sec flyer was only .0193 faster than Will Davison, in second, and .0299 quicker than yesterdays pole sitter, David Reynolds.
Kerb strikes once again continued to plague the field, multiple lap times deleted due to the strict track limits imposed through a series of chicanes.
Cam Waters and Chaz Mostert also progressed to the shootout, as did Scott Pye, Thomas Randle, Anton de Pasquale, Brodie Kostecki and James Golding.
The Top 10 Shootout begins at 2.20pm this afternoon and will determine the starting grid for the second of two races on the Gold Coast this weekend.
Andre Heimgartner struggled with car pace following his DNF yesterday and could only muster the 20th fastest time, meaning Chris Pither will be the second highest placed Kiwi on the grid, from 18th.
Race 32 of the Supercars season begins at 4.25pm this afternoon.
