Shane van Gisbergen and Will Davison will share the two remaining pole positions in Perth. Davison will start on the front row in both races but will be on pole in race 11, with van Gisbergen taking pole position for race 12.
Race 11 Qualifying
Percat had a tough start to qualifying going out on a warm-up lap but coming straight back into the lane with what appeared to be steering damage, forcing the team to make repairs during the 12-minute session.
The damage was caused by contact with Bryce Fullwood, as the pair were warming tyres Percat attempted to move ahead of Fullwood, but the pair made contact.
After the first run of the session, Will Davison sat at the top of the timesheets just over a tenth clear of van Gisbergen in second, with De Pasquale in third.
Will Brown who was slightly out of sync with much of the field, setting his lap time while most of the field were in the lane, jumped to second 0.02 slower than behind Davison.
Brown opted to get out of the car after that lap, ultimately dropping to sixth by the end of the session.
Van Gisbergen and Feeney both had traffic issues as they were attempting to complete their final laps, getting held up by traffic on the approach to the final lap, while both were on what looked to be their best laps of the session.
Unable to complete their laps van Gisbergen and Feeney will start 11th and 12th respectively. Mark Winterbottom received a three grid spot penalty for impeding.
Heimgartner qualified just inside the top ten, taking tenth, while Pither will start from 13th, behind the triple eight cars.
Race 12 Qualifying
Heimgartner sat at the top of the timesheets at the midway point of the session, getting out of the car after setting a 53.75-second lap, though it would be eclipsed soon after.
Shortly after Heimgartner’s lap Feeney jumped to the top of the timesheets before van Gisbergen further improved on Feeney’s time. 0.18 clear
Reynold also ran off sync from the majority of the field, putting himself second between the triple eight cars.
As the remainder of the feild completed their stops, the Shell V-Power cars jumped up the times, with Davison taking second to start alongside van Gisbergen on the front row of the grid while teammate De Pasquale will start on the second row in third.
Heimgartner and Pither will both start from the same grid spots in today’s second race, again taking 10th and 13th respectively.
