Shane van Gisbergen is back at the front at Pukekohe, qualifying on pole position for this afternoons Race 28. Starting alongside will be none-other than teammate Broc Feeney, a Red Bull front row lockout relegating both Shell V-Power cars to the second row.
A 1.02.109 saw van Gisbergen eclipse Feeney by .06 of a second, with Davison only another .06 behind on that in third. De Pasquale starts fourth, whilst Mostert and Pye round out the top six.
Yesterdays third-place getter Cam Waters starts seventh, with runner-up from Race 27 Andre Heimgartner only managing 10th.
Race 29
Once again, it was Davison at the front over Waters in race 29 qualifying, 1.01.92 nearly matching the pole time from yesterdays qualifying and again seeing Davison as the only runner to go under 1.02.
The gap was much clearer in this section of qualifying, Waters .229 of a second back for yet another front row start.
De Pasquale will start on the second row once again, but in third this time, whilst Feeney impressed yet again to start fourth.
Heimgartner is the best placed Kiwi on the grid in the final ever Supercar event at Pukekohe, in fifth where he’ll start alongside Pye.
Van Gisbergen could only manage the eighth fastest time with David Reynolds next to him.
Mostert and Nick Percat round out the top 10 respectively.
Race 28 begins at 12.50pm with Race 29 to follow at 3.55pm.
