Tyler Everingham will become the latest Dunlop Super2 driver to join the Supercars Eseries grid in next Wednesday’s eighth round of virtual championship.
Having sat out the opening round of the development series in Adelaide, Everingham is yet to turn a wheel on the track so far in 2020.
A race winner in his debut season, Everingham’s second year in the category was seemingly left stranded after a massive crash during this year’s Bathurst 12 left the 19-year-old with a hefty repair bill.
However, fortunate sponsorship deals quickly salvaged his season and Everingham will be back on the grid once the Super2 season returns to action.
He will don the #77 on his Holden Commodore as his regular #7 is in use by Kelly Racing’s Andre Heimgartner.
Everingham is currently the first wildcard to have been confirmed for next week’s event which is set to see the field head to Europe for races staged around the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola) and the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace in Sao Paulo.
Qualifying is slated to begin from 8 pm NZT and will be broadcast live on Sky Sport and via the official Supercars Facebook page.
