Two fourth-place finishes in the latest round of the Carrera Cup North America have elevated New Zealander Ryan Yardley to third in the standings with three rounds remaining.
A pair of victories for championship leader Loek Hartog, however, boost his advantage to 57 points over second-placed Alex Sedgwick, with Yardley a further 12 in arrears.
JDX Racing’s Madeline Stewart was also strong in Wisconsin, finishing seventh in Race 1 and 11th in Race 2.
Having qualified on the pole, Hartog was first into Turn 1 in Race 1 and led until the chequered flag, despite battling his Kellymoss Porsche after losing power steering mid-race.
Sedgwick finished 4.383 seconds behind in second, with ACI Motorsports’s Jimmy Libre completing the podium.
Yardley started and finished fourth, while Stewart made good ground in an incident-filled race to climb from 13th to seventh.
It was the first time in Porsche Carrera Cup North America history that two females finished in the top ten, with Sabre Cook following Stewart home in ninth.
Hartog was just as dominant in Race 2, leading from lights to flag for a comfortable 11.268 seconds over Zachary Vanier, who recovered from contact in the opener to feature on the podium in the finale.
Dan Clark earned Ear Motorsports their first-ever podium with third.
A challenging opening lap cost Yardley, who slid down the order but recovered for fourth to move to third in the standings, also making ground on Sedgwick, who finished sixth.
Stewart fell just short of her second consecutive top-ten result in eleventh, giving her a significant boost in points and elevating her to 16th in the standings.
The Carrera Cup North America returns to Indianapolis Motor Speedway on September 20-22, racing in support of IMSA.
