SUPER GT will hold its season finale at Fuji Speedway after plans to complete the season in Thailand fell through.
The heavily-revised calendar was released last week, with seven of the eight rounds taking place across just three circuits: Fuji, Suzuka and Motegi.
The final round was originally intended for the Chang International Circuit in Thailand, provided travel restrictions did not inhibit such an event from taking place.
On Monday, series promoter GTA stated that after having consulted the local promoter in Thailand, travel to Buriram would not be possible, thus handing the final round to Fuji Speedway.
Buriram joins Sugo, Autopolis, Okayama and Sepang as the fifth venue to be dropped from the 2020 calendar.
The first four rounds of the revised schedule will all be held with no spectators, meaning the earliest fans could be able to attend would be October’s third Fuji race.
The final round at Fuji Speedway will be held on November 28-29.
