The Rome E-Prix, scheduled for April 4, is believed to be under threat of postponement due to the coronavirus outbreak. Italian Government legislation has enforced a suspension on all large gatherings until April 3.
According to sources of Motorsport.com, the E-Prix is set to be postponed, and may even be cancelled as early as this week if no alternative date comes apparent.
The ABB FIA Formula E calendar has already witnessed the cancellation of of the Chinese round which was due to be held later this month.
Should the Rome E-Prix suffer cancellation it will join a growing lists of global motorsport events to have also experienced calendar reshuffling due to ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A worrying list that includes Formula One, MotoGP, Super Formula, Super GT, World Superbikes and DTM.
