Renault junior Christian Lundgaard will make a wildcard appearance in the BP Supercars All Stars ESeries on Wednesday.
Lundgaard has enjoyed a fruitful junior career thus far, finishing sixth in his maiden Formula 3 campaign last year and is scheduled to compete in Formula 2 alongside Marcus Armstrong at ART Grand Prix this year.
The Danish driver will make his first Supercars ESeries outing competing under the Kelly Racing banner, driving a Castrol-backed Ford Mustang.
Scheduled to compete from the Renault UK headquarters in Enstone, Lundgaard expressed excitement ahead of the event.
“I’m very much looking forward to this opportunity and having a go at something which is completely new to me.
“I’d like to say a huge thanks to Renault DP World F1 Team, Castrol, BP, Kelly Racing and Supercars for making it happen. As always, I’ll do my best and take it step by step.
“We don’t do racing if we’re not going to try and win, so I’ll try my best to win but at the same time have as much fun as possible and look to learn a few bits and pieces along the way.”
Round 9 action will take place tonight at Michigan International Speedway, with a driver vote to determine a possible second venue.
