Penrite Racing will pay special tribute to the ANZACs with a dedicatory livery in this week’s BP Supercars All Stars Eseries.
The livery was set to be run by drivers David Reynolds and Anton de Pasquale at this weekend’s ITM Auckland Super400 from Hampton Downs. But instead the team will run it as a one-off in the virtual championship this Wednesday.
The livery features a silhouette of soldiers from the 1915 Gallipoli landing on a dawn-inspired background.
“It’s one of our countries most national occasions so it’s a privilege to carry the livery this week – it’s only fitting that it’s at Australia’s most iconic circuit,” said Penrite Racing driver Anton De Pasquale.
“I feel proud to be able to pay tribute to the ANZAC spirit and the brave men and women who served for our countries – and those that are still serving today.
“It’s important to remember the sacrifices made so we can enjoy the freedoms we have.”
De Pasquale scored his first win of the series last week alongside two further podium finishes to cement himself as a real title protagonist.
After missing the last round, David Reynolds returns to the series and will run his No.9 Commodore.
The BP Supercars All-Stars Eseries returns home to Mount Panorama, Bathurst this week with qualifying and races broadcasted live on Sky Sport 5 from 8 pm and as well as via the Supercars Facebook page.
