Rounding out the top three was Craig Molloy behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Evolution which he achieved his best time of 2:23.96 with.
“Another win for the Hyundai Kona EV today,” Paddon said in a social media post.
“Despite the wet conditions, [it was] a really nice Hillclimb at Whare Flat (Dunedin) and some new developments with the car [were] successfully tested.
“Huge thanks to Otago Sports Car Club (OSCC) for the day and everyone standing in the rain to make it possible!”
Paddon now makes his way to Australia for the Coffs Coast Rally, part of the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship, this coming weekend. He will be behind the wheel of a Hyundai i20 AP4 car alongside co-driver John Kennard.
