Nissan and its motorsport arm Nismo have revealed their latest GT competitor in the form of the Nissan Z GT4.
As GT4-spec racing makes use of production cars as their base, Nissan’s entry will be based on the street version of the Z.
It makes use of a tuned version of the 3.0-litre VR38DDTT engine while also featuring an optimised chassis and suspension setup.
Aerodynamics have also been made more effective through the addition of a front splitter and canards, as well as a rear wing.
Inside, the cabin has been made for all types of drivers considering the Z GT4 will be bought and raced by teams all over the world.
“We are confident that this track-ready GT4-category Nissan Z will be ready to write another chapter in the Nissan Z’s 50-plus-year legacy of speed,” says Nissan COO Ashwani Gupta.
The car was developed at Nismo’s engineering facilities and has already been race-tested at the Fuji 24 Hour Race back in June.
Detailed vehicle specifications will be announced at the 2022 SEMA show in the United States, November 1 to 4. Vehicles deliveries will begin in the first half of 2023.
