NIERDC has this evening announced the Golden Homes North Island Endurance Series 2-Hour race will return for the remaining two rounds of this year’s series.
This announcement coincides with news that entries are now open for the 1-Hour, 2-Hour and 3-Hour for both the Hampton Downs and Taupo rounds.
While the 1-Hour and 3-Hour cater to some of the fastest machines out there and contribute to their New Zealand Endurance Championship points haul, the 2-Hour caters to club and class cars.
A diverse spectrum of cars often features in the 2-Hour, catering to a wide range of classes. Should any particular category field have more than five cars, they’ll have their own class in the 2-Hour field.
This was evident in NIERDC’s Pukekohe round when a special 2-Hour race was put on to send off the circuit, with a number of V8 Utes competing amongst themselves.
Breakout times are enforced in the 2-Hour with a minimum lap time of 1min 13sec the requirement at Hampton Downs and 1min 39sec the minimum at Taupo.
The North Island Endurance Series returns to action at Hampton Downs on April 21-22.
Schedules, articles and supplementary regulations can all be found on the NIERDC website.
