Things quieten down this week, as expected with the Easter break. The good news is, however, that there are still two huge events to follow while you enjoy your extended break.
Most notably, Liam Lawson begins his Super Formula campaign in Japan with the opening two races of the season at the iconic Fuji Speedway.
Ash McConchie, Jarrod Parmenter and Kris Mackie are the others in action, the South Island Pro8 Series competitors teaming up to cross off a bucket list trip and compete in the Bathurst 6-Hour.

The highly anticipated Super Formula season is finally here with Liam Lawson getting behind the wheel for Team Mugen for this weekend’s two races.
Both are 41 laps long with 22 racers taking part. It’s an extremely competitive series that has only been won once by a non-Japanese driver in the past 10 years, being 2019 when New Zealander Nick Cassidy won the title.
Lawson is expected to be near the front of the pack, having finished fifth fastest in pre-season testing earlier this year.
Super Formula is available to watch on motorsport.tv but does require paid premium access. It will also be streamed live on the SF go App, which is a paid service but has a free trial available for the weekend.

Mazda Pro8 South Island Series stalwarts Ash McConchie, Kristopher Mackie and Jarrod Parmenter will compete on the legendary Mount Panorama in this weekend’s Bathurst 6-Hour.
The trio are sharing the drive of an RX8 loaned by Ric Shaw and the Australian RX8 Cup contingent following a newly-established trans-Tasman partnership between the two competitions. That same partnership is also what saw Tom Shaw compete in the Highlands round of the Pro8 Series and McConchie compete at Winton a fortnight ago.
They’ll be running in Class D in an 8-strong field, a part of the overall grid which features 60 cars and over 160 drivers.
The Bathurst 6-Hour will be streamed live online and has big names aplenty competing, including Anton de Pasquale, Will Davison, Thomas Randle, Marcos Ambrose, John Bowe, and Tony Quinn.
