It’s time!
A big weekend in Indianapolis sees the NASCAR and IndyCar series link up, with the two sharing on the Indy Road Course. Shane van Gisbergen joins Marcus Armstrong, Scott Dixon and Scott McLaughlin in the paddock, as does Hunter McElrea, who is racing in Indy NXT.
Prior to that, van Gisbergen will take to the nearby Indianapolis Raceway Park oval in the Truck Series.
Madeline Stewart (Porsche Sprint Challenge North America), Louis Sharp (British Formula 4) and Zac Stichbury, Marco Giltrap and Ronan Murphy (Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia) will also be flying the New Zealand flag in their respective series.

Shane van Gisbergen, a ‘truck’ and an oval. Need we say more? The Kiwi will compete in the Craftsman Truck Series TSport 200 at Indiana Raceway Park, driving Niece Motorsport’s #41 Chevrolet.
As is the case with NASCAR, no broadcasters in New Zealand own the rights to the Truck Series. Velocity News will provide updates throughout the race.

Shane van Gisbergen returns to NASCAR, joining fellow Supercars star Brodie Kostecki for the Verizon 200 at the Brickyard. Van Gisbergen returns for TrackHouse Racing, driving the same #91 Chevrolet he drove to his historic victory in Chicago last month.
There are no live viewing options in New Zealand, however, CRC Motorsport will show highlights next weekend. Velocity News will provide live updates throughout the race.

IndyCar returns to the Indianapolis Road Course for the second time in 2023, with Marcus Armstrong, Scott Dixon, and Scott McLaughlin all competing.
Dixon is currently third in the standings, 126 points behind runaway leader Alex Palou. McLaughlin is fourth, a further 16 points behind, while Armstrong is 18th as best rookie, despite not competing on ovals.
Hunter McElrea: Indy NXT

Hunter McElrea returns to Indy NXT at Indianapolis, racing in support of the IndyCar and NASCAR events. He currently sits third in the standings, 59 points behind leader Christian Rasmussen.

Louis Sharp is locked in a fierce championship battle, which resumes this weekend at Knockhill in Scotland.
Sharp is second in the standings but took two wins last round to reduce the gap to championship leader William Macintyre to just six points.
Zac Stichbury, Marco Giltrap & Ronan Murphy: Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia

It’s currently Kiwis one, two and three in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia, but a number of new contenders announced themselves on the scene last round in Sydney.
Marco Giltrap’s four race wins have helped him build a 105-point lead over Ronan Murphy, while Zac Stichbury is a further 34 points behind in third.
Races 1 and 2 will be live streamed this weekend, however Sunday’s finale will not.
