Six-time IndyCar champion Scott Dixon has seen a new charity auction launch in honour of his 2020 series title.
The ‘Start to Finish’ autographed prints available for purchase were drawn up by celebrated livery designer and motorsport artist Andy Blackmore.
The artwork’s central theme is how Dixon was able to lead the championship race from the first race of the season at Texas Motor Speedway until the finale in St Petersburg.
The last time a driver achieved that feat was in 2001 by Sam Hornish Jnr for the now-defunct Panther Racing team and Oldsmobile.
A limited-edition of 25 prints are up for grabs by silent bidders with only email bids accepted and a minimum starting offer of USD $200.
Alongside Dixon’s signature, each print features autographs from four-time IndyCar champion Dario Franchitti, seven-time NASCAR Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, Chip Ganassi Racing managing director Mike Hull, CGR performance director Chris Simmons, and Dixon’s race engineer, Michael Cannon.
All proceeds will go to the CanTeen Charity, which supports Kiwi and Australian children and young families living with cancer.
Dixon has been a proud sporting ambassador of CanTeen for most of his professional career.
In 2010, as a part of the organisation’s famous bandanna day, Dixon designed and sold a special IndyCar-inspired bandanna.
* Email bids must be into [email protected] by January 18, 2021. Only email bids will be accepted.
