Reigning Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Champion Brendon Leitch will rejoin Leipert Motorsport for Round 5 of this season’s competition at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Leitch will share driving duties of a Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 with Anthony McIntosh for two 50-minute races in the Pro-AM class.
Since winning the Pro championship in 2023, Leitch has turned his attention to the GT World Challenge Australia, where he sits fifth in the standings with two rounds remaining.
The appearance in Europe makes for a busy month for Leitch, who will race on three continents for three different manufacturers over three weeks. Last weekend, he joined Earl Bamber Motorsport for the Indianapolis 8-Hour, where the team suffered a late accident and failed to finish.
Next weekend, he rejoins Tim Miles in the GT World Challenge in Australia.
Over the coming days, however, his focus will be on Super Trofeo with McIntosh, an American driver who partnered with Glenn McGee to win the Super Trofeo North America AM title in his rookie season last year.
McIntosh and McGee then went on to win overall in the AM class World Finals at Vallelunga against the best Super Trofeo North America, Asia, and Europe competitors.
While Leitch did not feature at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in his title-winning campaign, he did in his 2022 Pro-AM season with Leipert Motorsport, where he partnered with Gerhard Watzinger and took a podium and fourth place in his class.
Thursday morning’s Motorsport Diary will include viewing times and information on how to watch.
