Red Bull’s Formula 1 reserve driver, Liam Lawson, will get behind the wheel of a Blanchard Racing Team Gen3 Ford Mustang at Albert Park later today.
The Kiwi star will participate in two demo sessions on Thursday, sharing the track with the Ford SuperVan 4.2 that he drove in Adelaide last week and a range of Ford road cars.
He will also take Supercars star James Courtney for a hot lap in BRT’s third chassis, which also featured at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival last weekend.
A special Ford Performance livery covers the car, with Lawson’s name applied to it.
Formula 1 star Daniel Ricciardo will be in control of the Ford SuperVan.
The first session commences at 2.00 pm (NZ time), before the second at 6.00 pm, with Courtney present in the second.
A blockbuster weekend of action at Albert Park sees Formula 1 take centre stage with the Australian Grand Prix.
Formula 2, Formula 3, Supercars and the Porsche Carrera Cup join as support classes.
