New Zealand racing driver Liam Lawson has recently addressed his followers on Instagram, expressing his feelings after being replaced at Red Bull Racing and announcing his new role with the Racing Bulls team.
Lawson’s tenure with Red Bull Racing was brief, spanning only two races. During this period, he faced challenges adapting to the RB21 car, which led to his replacement by Yuki Tsunoda ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix. This strategic move aims to bolster Red Bull’s performance in the Constructors’ Championship.
In his heartfelt Instagram post, Lawson conveyed his disappointment, stating that driving for Red Bull had been a lifelong dream. He expressed gratitude to his supporters and emphasized his commitment to continue striving for success in Formula 1. This candid message resonated with many fans and highlighted athletes’ emotional challenges in professional sports.

Kiwi NASCAR driver Shane Van Gisbergen responded to Lawson’s post, saying, “Prove ’em wrong.”
Lawson’s girlfriend Hannah responded, “Head up, my love, and show them what they’re missing.”
The support is rolling in for Liam across social media.
Despite this setback, Lawson’s career remains on an upward trajectory. He has joined the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, a team known for nurturing emerging talent. Team principal Laurent Mekies has expressed confidence in Lawson’s abilities, stating that the team is committed to providing an environment where he can rebuild confidence and showcase his skills.
The reshuffling within Red Bull Racing has sparked discussions in the Formula One community. Notably, Lawson’s former teammate Max Verstappen liked an Instagram post from Former F1 driver Giedo Van Der Garde, criticizing the handling of Lawson’s demotion, suggesting internal tensions within the team.

Fans reacted to Max’s reaction to the post;
