Perspective Group has confirmed a second installment of ‘Kiwis: Born to Fly’ documentary has been given the green light and production is underway.
The next focus in the series is highlighting Kiwis’ success on a global stage in the business side of the sport. This important element largely goes unnoticed but has so much value and representation for New Zealand.
The story is centred around those who represent New Zealand in this avenue and put New Zealand-made products on a global stage in terms of innovation, craftsmanship, and quality while competing with other world brands while representing New Zealand.
They are true ambassadors for the greater sport of Motorsport both domestically and internationally.
Seldom are these locally based companies given the recognition they deserve.
Within this latest instalment of the documentary series, it will uncover the work and products of these companies and products that are made and created right here in New Zealand. It will highlight these companies who are leaders in their respective brands all while retaining the kiwi culture, brand values and high quality products. Plus it will see them selling on a true world stage amongst the best motorsport products on the planet.
This follows on from the succesful first instalment of the series, which focused on New Zealanders working or racing in IndyCar or on the Road to Indy pathway.
The documentary was initially shown on Sky Sport and was picked up by Air New Zealand, who offered it as a viewing option for international flights.
Producer David Turner commented, “I’m so grateful we get to create another part to the success story that is New Zealand Motorsport and over the coming months I am looking forward to working with all the partners to bring to life their respective stories.
“The first instalment proved how many people we have as a nation that are outstanding at their crafts and for Kiwis Born to Fly 2 I’m so looking forward to highlighting another seldom known aspect of the fine talent that devote their lives to Motorsport.”
The documentary will screen on Sky Sport 5 in the first quarter of 2025 at a date to be confirmed by Sky NZ.
Supporting presenting sponsors are Racetech, Kelford Cams, Link Electronics, and Dodson.
