Kiwi drivers showcased exceptional talent in the recent Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Race 2 at Phillip Island, Australia.
TekworkX Motorsport driver William Exton clinched his second victory of the weekend, delivering a stellar performance that solidified his position as a rising star in the series.
“It was an interesting race; a lot of stuff happened. It was an alright start. I didn’t quite get it, but I’m still happy, and then everything else unfolded in front of me. Safety car restart. I managed to get away cleanly; just build the gap and hold it out.” said Exton

On his debut, Earl Bamber Motorsport driver Tom Bewley secured a commendable third-place podium finish, highlighting his potential and adaptability to the competitive environment.
TekworkX Motorsport driver Jackson Rooney also impressed by finishing seventh, consistently maintaining a strong pace throughout the race and demonstrating his growing prowess in the championship.
Hunter Robb, representing Jones Motorsport, concluded the race in 13th place after starting in second place and leading the race after passing Exton before a big off on Turn 12 sent him smashing through track signage. He recovered and rejoined the race but unfortunately lost the race win he had in sight.
So far, the event at Phillip Island has been marked by intense competition and remarkable performances from both seasoned and new drivers, with the Kiwi contingent standing out prominently.

The third and final race of the day is not far away, kicking off at 6.05pm NZT.
