Got a lot on this weekend?
With the country still clamped in lockdown, you probably don’t.
So, book a date with the couch and be sure to tune into some of our fastest Kiwis racing around the globe.
Jaxon Evans is in Zandvoort for the third-to-last round of the Porsche Supercup.
Liam Lawson heads to Austria for another round of the DTM championship.
Earl Bamber is at the Nürburgring for the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance season.
Finally, our British Superbike trio are at Snetterton.
Jaxon Evans
- What: Porsche Supercup
- Where: Zandvoort, Netherlands
- When: SUN 10 pm

Jaxon Evans finished outside the top ten for the first time this season last weekend at Spa.
The Kiwi was nudged into a spin in the early stages of a wet race and eventually eased home in 12th.
Despite all this, Evans is still second in the driver’s standings and snapping on the heels of points leader Larry ten Voorde with three races left in the year.
Zandvoort hosts its first Porsche Supercup round this weekend.
The circuit is situated in the dunes near the coast of the North Sea.
It is exceptionally narrow, so overtaking during the race will be challenging.
This places heightened importance on qualifying and securing a good starting position.
Liam Lawson
- What: DTM
- Where: Red Bull Ring, Austria
- When: R1 SAT 11.30 pm | R2 SUN 11.30 pm
- How to follow: Red Bull TV & YouTube
Liam Lawson is not going to ease off the loud pedal this weekend.
After being accused of reckless driving at the last round at the Nürburgring, Lawson calmly said this weekend he “would not change the way I drive.”
The youngster’s pure pace this year has been something to admire. So, expect Lawson to bounce back strongly after the scoreless Nürburgring event.
Lawson is no stranger to the Red Bull Ring and has driven here several times in junior formulae.
He has won here in FIA Formula 3 and ADAC Formula 4.
Earl Bamber
- What: GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup
- Where: Nürburgring, Germany
- When: SUN 10 pm
- How to follow: Spark Sport
After a disappointing Spa 24 Hour, Earl Bamber will be out to put himself squarely back in title contention.
This weekend’s three-hour race at Nürburgring is the penultimate stop on the endurance cup calendar, and Bamber will want a big result to vault back towards the top of the standings.
Bamber will be steering the GPX Racing Porsche 911 GT3-R with Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet.
The trio led the endurance championship before the Spa 24 Hour, so they are among the favourites for a solid result this weekend.
British Superbike contingent
- What: British Superstock 1000, British Honda Talent Cup
- Where: Snetterton 300, UK
- When: Superstock MON 1.50 am | Talent Cup R1 SUN 1.30 am | Talent Cup R2 MON 1.05 am

Snetterton is home to the latest round of the British Superbike championship, with our trio of Kiwis lining up for the support races.
Shane Richardson and Damon Rees are in the British Superstock series, while Cormac Buchanan targets a first race win in the Honda Talent Cup.
Richardson finished a strong tenth in the most recent British Superstock race at Cadwell Park.
Meanwhile, Rees dug deep after only qualifying 25th to finish 15th.
Both riders are high in confidence, so expect them to be gunning for another big result this weekend.
Buchanan suffered in fall in the final Honda Talent Cup race last weekend at Silverstone. It capped off a frustrating weekend for the rookie.
But he has proven before he can bounce back from trying times, so don’t discount him this weekend from challenging for more silverware.
