New Zealand driver Jaxon Evans will be taking part in round eight of the 2022 Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS8) this weekend alongside teammate Thomas Preining.
The pair will be behind the wheel of Manthey Racing’s Porsche 911 GT3 R which is commonly referred to as ‘Grello’ because of its bright green and yellow livery.
Come race day, Evans knows what to expect as he previously competed in the series back in 2019 which was formerly called VLN.
The Kiwi will be going up against a field ranging from amateur racers in road legal cars to GT3s for what will be four hours of racing around the 25km Nürburgring circuit.
Evans is no stranger to endurance racing either, having competed in races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Bathurst throughout his career.
He most recently took part in the Bathurst 1000 for the first time alongside Jack Smith with Brad Jones Racing but unfortunately had to retire the car.
Racing will get underway on Saturday, October 22 with qualifying that morning starting at 8:30am local time (12:30pm NZST).
The race will begin later in the day at 12pm (11pm NZST) and run until 4pm (3am, October 23 NZST).
