Jamie Whincup has taken the race win in a chaotic rain-shortened race at the Sydney SuperNight.
The race got off to a lively start, with rain starting as the cars lined up on the grid, with all the cars switching onto wet tyres for the race start.
Chaz Mostert had been due to start in second for the final race, however, he received a penalty for the front bar on his car being too wide, leaving him to start from last on the grid, promoting Anton de Pasquale to second.
Bryce Fullwood started the race in eighth, though jumped the start, heading into turn 1 in second, receiving a drive-through penalty.
The first lap also saw an incident between Brodie Kostecki and James Courtney, the pair ending up in the tyre barrier bringing out the safety car.
On the restart, championship leader Shane van Gisbergen ran off track at turn one, before also getting a drive-through penalty for passing too early on the restart.
The penalty went on to be revoked after Anton de Pasquale was found to have lifted off the throttle.
Van Gisbergen made his compulsory pitstop however, it wasn’t a clean stop, with the tyre changer struggling to get one of the rear tyres on, resulting in a pit lane penalty for the 97.
Jake Kostecki bought out a second safety car after his Matt Stone Racing entry in the tyre barrier.
Worsening conditions forced Supercars to bring out the red flag with seven laps remaining, eventually making the decision not to restart the race.
Van Gisbergen finished the race in 23rd, with fellow Kiwi Fabian Coulthard in 19th.
Andre Heimgartner also fell back slightly finishing the race in 10th.
After starting from the back row of the grid, Chaz Mostert fought back to finish the race in third.
