A live commentary stream of this weekend’s South Island Endurance Series round in Timaru will keep fans in the loop on race day.
Sky TV, who are meant to broadcast each round live, remain trapped in Auckland. It means, for the second straight weekend, there will be no televised coverage.
However, MotorSport New Zealand will stream “an enhanced version of the live commentary coverage” via Facebook and YouTube.
What exactly “an enhanced version” is is not entirely clear. But MotorSport New Zealand has said popular commentator Greg Rust will anchor the coverage.
Rust provided a live radio commentary of round one at Highlands Motorsport Park a fortnight ago.
Guest interviews and video updates will frequent Saturday’s coverage, ensuring teams, drivers and fans who can’t be at the track stay well informed.
The stream begins at 10 am on Saturday, which is in time for the start of the first one-hour race.
