The Ford Falcon AU Supercar that Paul Radisich helped steer to a famous Queensland 500 victory has hit the market.
Radisich drove the DJR AU13 alongside Steven Johnson in the 2001 endurance events.
The car is now up for sale online, with an asking price currently at $280,000 plus GST.
Driven by Johnson for the entire 2001 season, the AU13 is most known for its wet weather triumph at Queensland Raceway.
Johnson and Radisich claimed an unlikely win in the 500km endurance race, bringing an end to a spree of Holden dominance.
The race was red-flagged four laps from the finish because of torrential rain.
Radisich, who was leading at the start of lap 157 of 161, beached himself in the gravel trap one lap later.
The incident saw the lead switch hands to Russell Ingall and Larry Perkins.
However, race officials suspended the race on lap 158.
Red flag rules meant results were brought back to the last completed lap. Hence, Radisich won the race while buried in a sand bunker.
“It was a first for me, winning the race from the gravel trap,” said Radisich after the race.
Another memorable part of the race had a crazed fan run across the track with half his shorts slipping down his legs to hug Radisich.
The car, which is nicknamed Delilah, was retired from racing at the end of the 2002 season.
