Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM) will make a debut wildcard entry for the Malaysia of the Super GT series.
Piloting the team’s Porsche 911 Gt3-R will be Malaysian drivers Jazeman Jaafar and Adrian Henry D’Silva.
Jafaar is an experienced sportscar racer, having won the LMP2 class in the World Endurance Championship with Jackie Chan Racing. Last season, Jafaar ran part-time in GT World Challenge Asia series, driving for Triple Eight Race Engineering.
Meanwhile, 53-year-old D’Silva drove under the EBM banner during last season’s Porsche Carrera Cup Asia where he finished the season 25th overall.
EBM have already confirmed their commitment to a two-car effort in the GT World Challenge Asia series, marking their Super GT wildcard entry as a one-off event.
Fellow kiwi Nick Cassidy will also be racing at the event in GR Supra after racing for Lexus Team KeePer last year.
The event is scheduled to be held from the Sepang International Circuit on July 19, marking the series’ first return to the venue since 2013.
The race will also be headlined as the first night race held in the championship’s 25-year history.
