Supercars Champion Will Brown and Walkinshaw Andretti United star Chaz Mostert will join forces for the 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour.
The duo will be joined by Ferrari factory driver Daniel Serra in the Pro class in one of Arise Racing GT’s Ferrari 296 GT3s.
The 31 January- 2 February event comes after Brown competes in the first two rounds of the Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship in New Zealand, and before he suits up for the 69th New Zealand Grand Prix.
“It would be fair to say that in Will Brown and Chaz Mostert we have two of the best drivers in Australia right now,” said Team Principal Jordan Oon.
“They raced each other hard in both GT World Challenge and Supercars this year and both are driving better than ever. It’s hugely exciting to pair them together for our first attempt at the Bathurst 12 Hour and have a factory Ferrari pilot in the form of Daniel Serra join them. It’s the strongest possible combination we could put together.
“Their combination of local knowledge, international experience, Bathurst success and ability to work with the team ensures we have the best chance to put ourselves in a position to challenge for victory.”
Brown and Mostert finished first and third in the 2024 Supercars Championship, respectively, the latter as the lead Ford driver.
Mostert won the GT World Challenge Australia title, having paired pairing with Liam Talbot to win the title for Arise Racing GT, while Brown shared an Audi R8 with Brad Schumacher to finish second.
“I am really excited to join Arise racing GT at the Bathurst 12 hour,” said Brown. “After Chaz and Liam beat me in the championship this year, I thought If you can’t beat them then you need to join them. I have watched Arise throughout the year and have noticed how professional and committed they are to winning which is something that excited me. I can’t wait to get the mountain and have a crack in the Ferrari.”
Mostert added, “I’m excited to be back with Arise Racing GT, we had an awesome year in GT Australia and it will be great to be teaming up with Will and Daniel as they’re both fantastic drivers.
“Also looking forward to teaming back up with my long-time friend and engineer Adam DeBorre. Pumped to keep the momentum going for Arise GT!”
Forty-year-old Brazilian Serra also brings a lot to the team. He is a three-time Brazilian Stock Car champion and raced for Conquest Racing and Risi Competizione in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship, where he won two races in the 2024 season – including the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Serra is also a two-time class winner at Le Mans, and IMSA Endurance Cup Champion in 2022. He also finished second in the LMGT3 class of the European LeMans Series in 2024 driving for Kessel Racing. He’s no stranger to Bathurst, either, having been entered in the 2020 race with HubAuto.
“I’m excited to return to Bathurst,” he said. “The team had an incredible season in GT Australia, and they know the car and the track very well! It will be great to have two fast and experienced drivers at Bathurst! I think we have all the ingredients to have a strong race!”
Arise Racing GT will field a pair of Ferrari 296 GT3 entries in the 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, with the drivers for the team’s Pro-Am entry to be confirmed in due course.
