Brendon Hartley will get behind the wheel of a feisty 1965 Mini Cooper at next weekend’s Goodwood Revival.
The former F1 driver and two-time Le Mans winner is part of a star-studded line-up to compete for the Sir John Whitmore Trophy.
This year’s revival festival celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Mini Cooper, with the 45-minute feature race set to be a highlight.
Hartley will be up against the likes of Jochen Mass, Martin Brundle and Jean-Eric Vergne in the race.
Other famous racers include Jonny Adam, David Brabham, Matt Neal and Andre Lotterer.
It is not only racing drivers getting in on the fun.
Brian Johnson, lead singer and songwriter of rock band AC/DC, will be on the grid. As will six-time Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy.
For Hartley, the weekend will be a change of pace for the Toyota endurance driver.
Last month he finished second in the Le Mans 24 Hours in the new Toyota LM Hypercar.
All-in-all, 30 classic Minis are entered to compete in the race.
This year’s Goodwood Revival is held over September 17-19.
The Sir John Whitmore Trophy race is scheduled to be held on the Saturday morning of the event.
