Anton de Pasquale has taken pole for both of this afternoon’s Supercars races at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Starting positions for the two races was determined by a pair of 10-minute qualifying sessions.
Race 21
Anton de Pasquale took pole position for this afternoon’s first race, 0.65 seconds ahead of teammate Will Davison in second.
Brodie Kostecki had another strong session taking third, to start alongside Jamie Whincup on the second row of the grid.
Nick Percat will start alongside championship leader Shane van Gisbergen in fifth and sixth respectively.
After a tough day yesterday just missing out on the top ten shootout, Andre Heimgartner will start in seventh while fellow Kiwi Fabian Coulthard will start in 19th.
Race 22
Anton de Pasquale again took pole, though the gap to second was smaller, with a gap of 0.39 seconds over Will Brown who will start from second.
The second session saw the field spilt, taking different strategies, some heading out early in the session to set their lap, while others waited until late in the session, hoping to take advantage of scattered clouds, which could improve their lap times.
The Shell-V-Power and Erebus cars choose to set early laps, with the Red Bull cars and much of the rest of the field running later in the session.
Van Gisbergen and teammate Whincup split the cars that went out early to claim the second row of the grid.
Kostecki and Davison will start from fifth and sixth respectively.
Heimgartner had a tough session, qualifying 14th for the final race of the weekend, while Coulthard also had a difficult run, set to start from the back row in 24th.
