Alex Davison will fill in the vacant Team Sydney seat for the Australian Grand Prix weekend that occurred when James Courtney suddenly left the team after only one round.
2020 will be Davison’s first full-time Supercars drive since 2013 where he raced for Charlie Schwerkolt Racing under the Tickford Racing banner outfit.
Davison joins New Zealander Chris Pither who continues his Coca-Cola backing into the Australian Grand Prix weekend.
Davison, older brother to current Tickford driver Will, is an experienced Supercars driver who brings a wealth of applicable knowledge that would be of great benefit to the small Team Sydney squad.
Davison is also no stranger to the Albert Park street circuit, winning three of the four Porsche Carrera Cup races in 2016 with Buik Motorsport A full report is to follow.
