Kiwis Earl Bamber and Brendon Leitch are included on the entry list of this weekend’s 24 Hours of Dubai at the Dubai Autodrome.
Bamber’s Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM) is fielding an Aston Martin Vantage AMR in the GT3-Pro/AM class, with the New Zealander joined by Setiawan Santoso, Munkong Sathienthirakul, and Tanart Sathienthirakul.
Leitch rejoins Leipert Motorsport – the same team with which he won the 2024 Lamborghini Super Trofeo world title- in a Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 in the GTX class. Joining Leitch is Don Yount, JJ Song, Takis, and Gerhard Watzinger.
A grid of over 65 entries split across five classes has been confirmed for the event, which doubles as a 20th-anniversary special for the race and Dubai Autodrome itself.
Eight GT3 manufacturers will feature on the grid: Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, McLaren, and Porsche.
Two-time WRC champion Kalle Rovanpara makes his GT racing debut, joining fellow Finn and Porsche factory driver Jukka Honkavuori, Jani Kakela and Joel Monegro in a Proton Huber Competition Porsche 911 GT3 R (992).
The 24H Dubai is the first round of the 24H Series Middle East Trophy, with the second and final round following at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi next weekend.
EBM is on the provisional entry list for the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi, but without Bamber. Leipert Motorsport has yet to confirm whether it will compete.
Qualifying in Dubai begins at 11.25 pm on Friday, and the race begins at 10.00 pm on Saturday.
The action will be live streamed on YouTube.
