Paddon Racing Group’s customer division is expanding into the premier circuit racing scene in 2024, accommodating competitors in GT3/GT4, TCR, and more for the forthcoming endurance and summer series campaigns.
New Zealand’s most successful rally team has maintained strong connections to tarmac since the company’s founding in 2018, catering to numerous customers on the track through their workshop based at Highlands Motorsport Park, most prominently in the South Island Endurance Championship, where they’ve fielded Hyundai TCRs over the last three seasons.
In 2023, technicians and engineers furthered their circuit racing experience by assisting Hyundai Motorsport on their World TCR campaign at Bathurst and Mitre 10 Trade racing in their Highlands 6-hour Enduro campaign.
Over the past year, the team have been developing multiple Hyundai i30N track cars, adapting the popular hot hatch with custom safety enhancements and performance upgrades to develop a reliable, low-cost form of motorsport.
The experienced team of engineers and technicians are prepared to take on new campaigners in the upcoming endurance series.
The combination of data analysis and in-depth mechanical preparation, including in-house engine/driveline development, suspension dyno and specialist software, will help extract the most from the car and driver.
Assisting the team is Paddon’s experience on the international rally scene, alongside competing domestically in GT3 and TCR cars.
Additionally, a technical partnership with the official Hyundai Motorsport TCR team (BRC Racing) furthers the team’s expertise.
