Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Broc Feeney has topped the final Bathurst 1000 practice ahead of this evening’s Top 10 Shootout.
The Sandown 500 winner set a 2:05.5872 in the early stages of the hour-long session to better second-fastest Brodie Kostecki by 0.2418.
Feeney and Kostecki were the only drivers to go under the 2:06 barrier, with teams again electing to use the session for long runs.
Will Brown was third fastest, while Cam Waters was the best of the Mustangs in fourth, setting a 2:06.2403, just 0.0321 better than Shane van Gisbergen’s best lap.
Anton De Pasquale was the second-quickest Mustang in sixth, ahead of James Golding, Andre Heimgartner, Scott Pye and Matt Payne, who jumped into the top ten with a late flyer.
The sixth and final practice session was also used for refuelling practice for teams.
The Top 10 Shootout begins at 7.05 pm this evening, with the Bathurst 1000 starting at 1.15 pm on Sunday.
