The livery Andre Heimgartner’s Gen3 R&J Batteries Chevrolet Camaro will wear in the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship has just been revealed by Brad Jones Racing.
The #8 Camaro is ready to burst out of the gate firing at the first round with expressive fiery detail licking along the sides of the Chevrolet.
The stunning geometric design by Peter Hughes which was applied to the car thanks to PPG and 3M wraps, evokes all the excitement of the incoming Gen3 shift.
Cub Cadet takes prime position on the dark coloured bonnet, creating a mean looking front end.
The quick Kiwi is ready to start his 2023 campaign with R&J Batteries on board after four podium appearances in the previous season.
Heimgartner has made himself at home at BJR, joining the team in 2022 and quickly getting up to speed with the Holden ZB Commodore.
The Camaro will be the fourth make Heimgartner will have driven in the championship in five years and the 27-year-old has proven his adaptability and skill in each.
R&J Batteries will continue as the naming rights sponsors of Heimgartner’s #8 Camaro, after sharing the spoils of his 22’ performances with the team.
Heimgartner will also be supported through 2023 by Blackwoods, Coca-Cola, Coregas, Best Doors, Dunlop, Fuchs, GM, Hare and Forbes Machineryhouse, Lansvale Smash Repairs, Larsen Engineering, Mastercam, Mizuno, Mongrel Boots, Mrs Macs, Prolac, Speedflow, Summit, Unit and Wagga Motors.
“This car looks pretty epic and it’s going to be a bit of a beast, the R&J Batteries colours really fit the Camaro,” says Heimgartner.
“Gen3 is one of the biggest changes in Supercars and our team has worked night and day to be ready and have the best cars possible. I’m aiming to repay them and R&J Batteries for their hard work and support.”
The streets of Newcastle will host the first Supercars round of the Gen3 era and the R&J Batteries Camaro will be in action on March 10-12 at the Thrifty Newcastle 500.
