NASCAR members could be fined should they fail to comply with guidelines laid out to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The guidelines include screenings, social distancing, compartmentalization, and the use of personal protective equipment such as face masks and gloves.
Failure to adhere to these rulings could result in a fine ranging anywhere from $NZ17,000 to $NZ83,000.
The Cup Series is set to resume racing on May 18 at Darlington Raceway, making it among the first major racing series’ to return to racing in 2020.
