After a successful campaign in the 2022 GT4 Scandinavia series, Toyota Gazoo Racing Sweden has decided to re-sign Harry McDonald for a full season next year.
The Kiwi will be back behind the wheel of the same Toyota GR Supra GT4 car he drove throughout 2022 which will be upgraded with the EVO kit for next year.
During his first year behind the wheel of the car, McDonald scored three podiums from six race starts which he will be looking to build on come 2023.
Next year will see events across Scandinavia as well as Europe with tracks like Circuit Paul Ricard and Spa Francorchamps making an appearance.
McDonald also picked up backing from New Zealand-based performance car company Rodin Cars throughout his season this year.
Now back home in New Zealand, he will participate in the BMW Drivers Series with Team Kiwi Racing while he also has plans to compete in the Formula Open Series in a Toyota FT40.
“We worked together on our strategy to take podium spots. Harry wants to take the next step with us, which we are happy about and look forward to new podium places,” said Hans Holmlund, McDonald’s Toyota Gazoo Racing Sweden teammate.
The 2023 GT4 Scandinavia series will get underway in May in Sweden and run until the start of November.
