The ongoing global pandemic has delayed the announcement of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series schedule.
Initially slated for April release, the schedule is expected to feature an array of significant changes in terms of the types of races and where they will be held.
The 2020 schedule itself has been severely affected by the pandemic, with the last regularly-scheduled Cup Series event taking place on March 8 at Phoenix Raceway.
According to Motorsport.com, sources indicate that the schedule isn’t likely to be announced until “around July”.
While the schedule is yet to see the light of day, we do know that the 43rd running of the pre-season Busch Clash non-points race will be held on the Daytona International Speedway road course for the first time, on February 9.
The Daytona 500 marquee event will be held on February 14.
