Erebus Motorsport Racing have today unveiled the livery for the Boost Mobile Racing wildcard entry in which Greg Murphy and Richie Stanaway will race in come Bathurst.
The livery of the Commodore features a design which is Kiwi-inspired, with a black and grey silver fern wrap underlining yellow sponsorship displays.
Murphy and Stanaway were present at the unveiling, with Murphy recognising the significance the silver fern design has.
“It looks awesome. It’s very different to what we had last year but I knew that it would change, and the print underneath looks awesome,” Murphy said in a release by Erebus Motorsport.
“The inclusion of the silver fern is a nice touch and I’m sure it’s not only appreciated by us but will also be appreciated by the kiwi fans.”
The Kiwi duo will head to Winton on Tuesday to undergo testing of the car, and return for a third and final test outing on September 28. From there they will make the trip over to Bathurst, with the weekend of racing over October 6-9.
Murphy, who has won the event four times, will be competing for the first time since 2014. Stanaway has only competed in the race four times, however is a veteran of racing through series such as GP2 and World Endurance Championship.
The slick new livery will stand out for the two veterans on the mountain, as we look forward to another famous Kiwi performance at Bathurst.
