In the first of two timed qualifying sessions it was Cam Waters who emerged on top, with teammate Thomas Randle locking out the front row for Tickford Racing.
Shane Van Gisbergen set the third fastest time, where he will start Race 22 alongside veteran James Courtney. Closest championship contender Anton de Pasquale will start just behind in fifth, with Chaz Mostert, Broc Feeney, Mark Winterbottom, Bryce Fullwood and Lee Holdsworth rounding out the top 10 respectively.
Will Davison was the shock omission of the frontrunners, only managing the 23rd fastest time.
Other Kiwi drivers include Andre Heimgartner who will start 12th, and Chris Pither in an impressive 17th.
Yesterdays surprise pole-sitter Zac Best could only manage 16th fastest, with his Tickford wildcard entry now sporting livery after picking up sponsorship overnight.
A slightly mixed grid creates a potentially exciting Race 22 of the Supercars season which begins at 3pm this afternoon.
The second qualifying session took place immediately after, determining this evenings Race 23 starting lineup.
It was Waters who emerged on top here also, holding off de Pasquale by .04s. Van Gisbergen also replicated his position from the first session, coming in third after not running again at the closing stages of the session.
Feeney will start alongside Van Gisbergen as Red Bull lock out the second row, ahead of Courtney and Will Brown on the third row.
Best improved on his first session results and will start this evenings race in seventh next to Randle. Mostert and Davison round out the top 10 respectively.
Heimgartner could only manage the 13th fastest time, with Pither down in 25th.
Race 23 starts at 6.45pm this evening and is live on Sky Sport 2 (052).
