Shane van Gisbergen will be hoping to extend his lead at the front end of the championship, with fellow kiwis Chris Pither and Andre Heimgartner aiming to improve on their current rankings of 22nd and 12th respectively, as the Merlin Darwin Triple Crown begins at Hidden Valley Raceway today.
Two practice sessions will take place today, with elimination qualifying preceding Race 16 on Saturday. Sunday’s run sheet includes two timed qualifying sessions, with races 17 and 18 following later in the day.

Practice 1- 30 minutes: 1.20pm
Practice 2- 30 minutes: 4.35pm
Saturday:
Elimination Qualifying- Race 16: 2.15pm
Race 16- 38 laps: 5.55pm
Sunday:
Timed Qualifying- Race 17: 11.05am
Timed Qualifying- Race 18: 11.20am
Race 17- 38 laps: 2.25pm
Race 18- 38 laps: 5.55pm
This weekend will also celebrate the inaugural Indigenous Round, with indigenous-themed liveries sharing unique stories through their artwork recognising Aboriginal Peoples.
All three days of racing will be shown in New Zealand on Sky Sport 5, channel 055.
Australian viewers can tune in via Kayo across all three days, or on 7 (7 mate in WA and SA) for Saturday’s and Sunday’s events.
