Tyler Everingham was able to hold off Matthew Payne in the final Super 2 race of the weekend in Perth.
Payne crossed the line 0.3 seconds off the race lead, having kept the pressure on through the race, running out of laps to make a pass for the lead.
With a race win and a second, Payne took his first round win in the series, as well as leaving as the championship leader
The race was shortened after two safety cars, the first of which was on the opening lap for Nash Morris whose car ended up on two wheels after being sandwiched between Ryal Harris and Brad Vaughan.
The second was for Steven Page who was stuck in the Turn 1 gravel trap after contact.
The Dunlop Series will resume in Townsville in July.
