The Shell V-Power Racing Team was strong in the final two qualifying sessions of the weekend, finishing first and second in both sessions, while Shane van Gisbergen will start from the second and third-row in the last two races.
Race 8
Chaz Mostert sat at the top of the timesheets after drivers completed their first lap in the eight-minute session.
Soon after Tim Slade jumped up the timesheets to move into second less than a tenth off Mostert’s time.
Van Gisbergen moved to the top of the leader board briefly, before David Reynolds moved ahead, with Slade again jumping back into second soon after.
With just 20 seconds remaining the Shell-V Power cars of De Pasquale and Will Davison completed their laps, to move to first and second respectively, more than half a second clear of the rest of the field.
Todd Hazlewood made contact with the turn five fence late in the session, he was able to keep the car moving to make it back to the lane, but the damage would see him miss the second qualifying session.
SVG will start the third race of the weekend from the second row taking third with Reynolds alongside, while the Shell V-Power Racing Team cars will lock out the front row, with De Pasquale starting on pole.
Andre Heimgartner and Chris Pither will start further back in the pack finishing the session in 21st and 23rd respectively.
Race 9
The qualifying for race nine saw drivers with 12 minutes to put together their best lap time.
Jack Le Brocq had a similar incident to teammate Hazlewwood did in the first session, brushing the wall, though Le Brocq escaped with less damage.
De Pasquale sat at the top of the leaderboard after the first run with a 1.45.6 minute lap to sit 0.01 seconds ahead of Davison.
SVG found himself in fifth after the first run, while Pither and Heimgartner sat 18th and 19th.
At the end of the session van, Gisbergen found himself sixth on the timesheets to start from the third row of the grid in the final race.
Thomas Randle jumped up the timesheets at the end of the session, to sit ahead of teammate Waters in fourth and fifth.
The DJR cars will again lock out the front row of the grid, though, for the final race of the weekend, it will be Davison that starts from pole position.
Andre Heimgartner moved up the grid on the final run to sit 16th after the final run, while Pither will start from 22nd.
The first race of the weekend will get underway at 4.20 pm this afternoon.
