Shane van Gisbergen will start the first of the weekend race from the back of the grid, while David Reynolds and Will Davison will share the first two pole positions of the Melbourne Grand Prix weekend.
Race 6
The first qualifying session of the day saw drivers with eight minutes to put together a lap time.
Van Gisbergen started his first fast lap with a slide in turn 1, before recieving a kerb strike later in the lap, meaning he would lose the lap time.
Without setting a time the team made the call to bring him into the lane for fresh tyres, before sending him on a second lap.
Anton de Pasquale put himself at the top of the timesheets, with Mostert setting a time to sit second narrowly behind the DJR driver.
David Reynolds then set a lap to put himself just 0.02 faster than the lap De Pasquale set.
Shortly after Reynolds clocked his lap Jake Kostecki had a moment going through turn five which saw him make contact with the wall leaving the car damaged and stranded in the middle of the track bringing out the red flag, which would end the session early.
With the session cut short SVG was unable to put together a lap, leaving him to start from the back of the grid.
Andre Heimgartner will start from 18th, with Chris Pither 21st on the grid.
Race 7
The second qualifying session of the day saw the car heading out for a 12-minute session.
SVG set a time to put himself fastest early in the session to sit 0.16 faster than Will Davison who sat second.
Wasters who had been on a strong lap, to potentially go to the top of the leader board had a big lockup on his lap, forcing him into the lane for fresh tyres before he could set a representative lap time.
Davison put together a strong lap on his second run to jump to the top of the timesheets sitting 0.08 faster than Reynolds, who will start alongside on the front row of the grid.
Triple Eight will lock out the second row of the grid, with van Gisbergen in third and Broc Feeney fourth.
Heimgartner sat 14th after his first run but would drop to 18th after the final run, while Pither ended the session 24th .
