Red Bull Ampol Racing are the first cab off the rank to unveil their livery for the upcoming 2022 Repco Supercars championship season for drivers Shane van Gisbergen and series rookie Broc Feeney.
The Red Bull Holden ZB Commodore makes use of familiar colours, with Red Bull, Ampol, and Supercheap Auto once again taking precedence in the team’s colour scheme.
Notable additions between seasons include Wurth and New Holland.
Along with showcasing the new-look car, Red Bull Ampol Racing has confirmed that Feeney will be racing under the team’s famed number 88 for his debut full-time season, while van Gisbergen will once again race with number 97 on his car.
“The team obviously has a new look this year, not only with Broc as our new driver, but we both have new race engineers stepping up which will bring a new dynamic,” said van Gisbergen.
“I’m excited to work with Andrew this year. He’s no doubt a talented race engineer who’s been on my radar, so I think once we get stuck into the first few rounds, we can strengthen our relationship and hopefully get the results we’ll work hard for.”
Following a stellar period racing for Triple Eight in Super2, resulting in a title win last year, Feeney becomes the team’s first rookie recruit since it joined the Supercars championship in 2003.
He will be engineered by former NZV8s regular Martin Short, who himself steps up from Super2, while van Gisbergen will be engineered by former Brad Jones Racing recruit Andrew Edwards.
