Before tomorrow’s first qualifying session, Liam Lawson has finished 9th in FP1 and 19th in FP2 showing mid-pack pace.
Lawson is currently second in the DTM hampionship in his first ever season, only 21 points behind South African Kelvin Van Der Linde.
The young RedBull rookie drove his Ferrari to 3rd last race out (round 3, race 2) in the Nertherlands.
But, he also was caught out in an unlucky first lap incident in race one causing him an early DNF.
This means Lawson will be out for redemption after not being able to score points in one out of the two previous races.
Unsurprisingly, the top 3 in FP2 were all Germans at one of their home tracks.
Stolz, Ammermuller and, Gotz were all in the low 1.27s with only 3 tenths separating them.
Hopefully Lawson can find some extra pace for qualifying and bring back some more championship points in the next 2 races to really fight for the 2021 DTM trophy.
Qualifying for the first race is at 8.15pm and the lights will go green at 11.15pm Saturday night.
