Ahead of today’s opening round of he 2021 Valvoline D1NZ National Drifing Championship, Team Jenkins Motorsport has whipped the covers off its fresh warpaint for brothers Troy and Ben.
The pairing’s Toyota 86 duo are once again orange, but sport fresh backing from Carters Tyre Service Pukekohe and NSTParts — Toyota New Zealand’s parts hub on Auckland’s North Shore.
The two main new backers are joined by a series of other new sponsors for the upcoming season, including Work Wheels, Hughes Race Engineering, Radium Engineering, and Pariah Custom Works.
All up, 21 drivers will line up for the category’s opening round in the Pro class; Ben and Troy Jenkins joined by the likes of ‘Fanga Dan’ Woolhouse, Darren Kelly, and former circuit racer Daynom Templeman.
Held at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland later today, the D1NZ series opener will be broadcast live in New Zealand and, for the first time, in Australia.
Local coverage kicks off at 4.00pm on Sky Sport 5, while Australian coverage starts on Foxtel 506 at 2.00pm.
